28 Apr The benefits of resourceful networking
Are you working from a home office? Are you working in a new business or a business that isn’t hitting the targets that you envisaged?
I have worked from a home office for the past 13 years and it has its challenges. I found that when I first started the home-based business, the connection with like-minded solo flyers and other business people was very important.
There can be days when motivation is lacking, the phone isn’t ringing, the mind is wandering to domestic chores and basically you could be asking yourself “what the hell am I doing?”.
Join a network! Whether it be a business network, a Facebook Group, Linkedin, an association forum, a local Chamber of Commerce or maybe meet with a few local business people at the local café. You need to talk to bounce ideas. It is amazing to find that you are not the only one who feels the way that you do.
I also know that I have picked up new clients from referrals from such meetings.
Go on! Be brave! Make a connection. You are selling you and what you have to offer. I have a range of self-hypnosis MP3s on Spotify and iTunes that could hep you.
If you feel stuck and need to talk about it, or to find the motivation switch, then please contact me. It might be the best business call that you’ll ever make.
